Masks, Music, and Mayhem - Gatecrasher presents the Nottingham Carnival
Inspired by the biggest carnivals in the world, Gatecrasher Nottingham brings a touch of Mardi Gras to Nottingham. Carnival is a celebration of fun, music and frivolity held worldwide and this year it's coming to the UK.
Feather-covered showgirls, outrageous performers, crazy costumes, wild make-up, banging percussion and full on flamboyancy are the order of the day for the Gatecrasher carnival.
Clubbers can expect grand-scale themed stories, stunning stage shows and the best sounds around. From the 4th February, Gatecrasher Nottingham brings forth 7 weeks of sheer hedonism with a cast of over 50 dancers, incredible acrobats and riotous entertainers flying in exclusively from across the world every Saturday. Pure exhibitionism is unleashed every week. Expect full-on excitement, mind-bending decadence, freedom of self-expression and sheer fabulousness!
A place for the fabulous or trashy, beautiful or scary, glamorous or freaky the Gatecrasher Carnival will be the celebration of club culture inspired by the full on hedonism of Mardi Grads. The nights will promote a spirit of liberty and harmony between all people, A surreality without rules!
Think pure theatricality of the Venice carnival meets the hyperactivity of Rio with the passion of New Orleans. This will be a celebration of glitter, glamour and dressing up. Clubbers can expect grand-scale themed stories, stunning stage shows and some of the biggest Mardis Gras performers.
The signature Mardi Gras carnival will be intensified by Gatecrasher’s world renowned flamboyant entertainment. Ariel performers, contortionists, theatrical entertainers collide with magical effect. Gatecrasher will also incorporate nearly two decades of production experience to create the most amazing indoor carnival including pyrotechnics, fireworks and confetti.

Gatecrasher Podcast
Gatecrasher, the global club brand, today announced that it is to release monthly free podcasts via its own site Gatecrasher.com and itunes. Gatecrasher will produce exclusive 60 minute podcasts featuring interviews and mixes from the biggest names in dance right now. Celebrating Gatecrasher past, present and future, each podcast will seamlessly mix future classics from top dance names,
current club bangers direct from the dance-floor and monstrous epic classics from Crasher’s yesteryear.Celebrating the most pioneering DJs to grace the hallowed Gatecrasher decks, each monthly podcast will feature a 30 minute mix from the most cutting-edge DJs as well as exclusive first plays on new tracks. Top-flight DJs will also be interviewed about their Gatecrasher experiences and there will be a Gatecrasher resident’s feature.
Gatecrasher is producing the podcast after thousands of requests from their world-wide dance music community database. Gatecrasher will drive awareness of the podcasts through the brand’s clubs and events around the world as well as by offering online previews and exclusives to its extensive membership database.
Clubbers can also interact directly via facebook and gatecrasher.com to nominate request their favourite tracks and DJs.
The first podcast will be released today (15th March 2011) and features a 30 minute mix from the hottest DJ on the planet right now, Grammy award winner, superstar DJ and Gatecrasher regular Afrojack who stormed Gatecrasher in Leeds and Birmingham this month.
Original resident, the legendary and pioneering Judge Jules has nominated his most poignant Gatecrasher old skool memory and current Gatecrasher resident Martin Wright reveals his top track right now.
Speaking on the podcast DJ Judge Jules commented; " I have spent probably more of my happy club years in Gatecrasher than any other club in the world.
Gatecrasher is singly one of the most influential nightclubs in the history of dance music.”
