Funkagenda by now then where have you been hiding? Over the last 18
months, he has become a name synonymous with quality house music.<br />
<br />
In
the late 90s during the house explosion it was here that he found his
home. The hypnotic rhythms of Roger Sanchez, David Morales and Maw were a
perfect fusion of musicality + dance floor sophistication. He began to
learn the delicate art of DJing, although after years of manually timing
beats on bargain basement samplers, this was not as difficult as he
thought and soon he was picking up bar and small club residencies. But
his true love was production and at this point, with the price of a Dub
Plate being about £50 it was not cost efficient to play your own
material.</span>
</p>
<p>
<span style="color: #888888">Enter the CDJ! Many bedroom
producer now had the ability to play their own works out, and Funkagenda
became a regular user. Always re-editing and remixing tracks into his
own style, his sets had a unique sound, and began to catch the ears of
many promoters around him. Soon gigs were a plenty, and his tracks were
the flavour of the moment<br />
<br />
He is currently producing with the
likes of Mark Knight, ATFC, Trophy Twins and DJ Exacta to name but a
few, and with two very healthy record labels [Groovedigital + Pop Pop]
under his belt, Funkagendas name is a driving force in house music
today.</span>

<span style="color: #888888">To say that <i>Flashmob</i>, the new album by Vitalic, is eagerly awaited would be a slight understatement. This is the first major release in four years from Pascal Arbez-Nicolas, one of the world's leading electronic producers. Like Daft Punk or Aphex Twin, the Frenchman is a disco visionary responsible for shaping the sound of modern-day electronic music, whose name alone arouses intense emotion in his countless admirers. <i>Flashmob</i> is Vitalic's poetic interpretation of disco, but not the bell-bottomed or Balearic kind - more disco as a sensibility, a personal approach.</span>
</p>
<p dir="ltr" align="justify">
<span style="color: #888888">A daring successor to 2005's <i>OK Cowboy</i>, <i>Flashmob</i> is an album that effortlessly evokes the hedonistic attitude of disco - reducing its essence, in certain places, to the sound of a snare, to a single handclap - while Pascal's audacious production and compositional genius give the songs a timeless quality. "The idea was to make different songs, different styles, as if viewed through a disco tube," he says. "I used technology that would have made it impossible to produce this album five years ago. I mixed many diffrent styles, from R'n'B to Jean Michel Jarre with Justice and Metro Area." After just two listens, you'll notice how <i>Flashmob</i> bristles with ideas and that each one, however tiny the detail, is executed perfectly. You'll appreciate, too, that no one sounds remotely like Vitalic, though many have tried. He is still, unquestionably, the master, the one all eyes are on.</span>

<span style="color: #888888">As for the extraordinary title track, "Flashmob", Pascal says: "I needed to make a song that was epic techno and a dancefloor filler. And I like the concept of flashmob. I have only seen it on TV and thought it was like theatre. Now he's back, with an album that's not just comfortably one of the year's best, it's a defining moment in the development of popular electronic music. Everyone else, it seems, has a lot of catching up to do.</span>

His innovative productions continue to receive wave after wave of support from such luminaries that include Sasha, Danny Howells, Justin Robertson, Sander Kleinenberg and Carl Cox, whilst Pete Tong leads the way in championing the unique sound that has established Chris as one of the world's elite.

An avid producer since 2001, Chris's breakthrough came in 2005. His tracks 'One Too Many' and 'Release' caught the attention of the world's press and A&R bosses, but it was the release of his smash hit 'Changes' that catapulted his name into the record boxes of DJs across the planet.

'Changes' became Radio 1's 'Essential New Tune' twice, reaching number 27 in the national charts and picking up column inches in tabloid papers and magazines; turning the once underground buzzer into a worldwide hit.
Chris's DJ schedule duly sky rocketed and over the past 2 years, he has travelled to all four corners of the globe taking in Asia, South America, USA, Australia and Africa. He has graced some of the biggest clubs on the planet that include Ministry Of Sound, Space, Warung, Spybar and Amnesia together with countless festivals – Global Gathering, Creamfields and the Extrema festival in Holland.

In 2006, Chris set up Rising Music as an outlet for his new productions. Rising swiftly became the benchmark for pure underground house – releases that included 'One Too Many', 'Fantasy' and 'Release' have set the standard, whilst Chris has also shown that his A&R head is amongst the best in the business by signing artists that include Sebastien Leger, Micky Slim and Deadmau5.

Chris's success continued in 2007 with his track 'Carry Me Away' hitting the coveted number one spot on the USA Billboard Dance Chart, thus etching his name into the dance history books and propelling his US profile into the stratosphere.

Further collaborations in 2007 with Deadmau5 on 'I thought inside out' and Sebastien Leger 'Word/Ghost' once again proved Chris's versatility in the studio, and with both productions hitting the Beatport Top spot, Chris continued to cement his status as one of the world's finest producers.

And of course there is the small matter of Chris remixing some of the biggest names in the music scene. Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Mark Ronson, Lily Allen, Deadmau5 and the Rogue Traders are amongst some of the names to have received sublime workouts from Chris, and support has been immense; not only from Radio 1, but every major radio station around the world.

Radio 1 has also allowed Chris to show his unrivalled ability in the art of DJ'ing. His Essential Mix in August 2007 was yet another defining step in his career as he unveiled two hours of sublime techno, electro and tech house to keep a worldwide audience of millions captivated. His mix was voted as one of the best since the inception of the Essential Mix series, and reminded everyone why Chris is at the top of his trade.

2008 has seen Chris’s profile grow even bigger with his global DJ tours, top quality releases, and an eye for the new media world via his new Podcast series – the latter of which has made i-Tunes’ ‘new and notable’ for the last three months. Meanwhile his stunning track ‘Only One’ taken from his One E.P has held its place in Beatport’s Top 5 for more than two weeks, and is currently climbing the US and Australian dance charts faster than ever.

<h3>Will Gold</h3>

<span style="color: #888888">Will Gold is a Brighton based DJ and producer. Having worked the dance scene since the turn of the millennium his big room sound has seen him play at the biggest nights in the UK and Worldwide. Will is an accomplished producer and has been writing his own music for many years. His dance floor destroyers are regularly spun on the specialist shows of Radio 1, with over ten broadcasts in the last two years from the likes of Judge Jules and Eddie Halliwell. Will's tracks are further supported by a diverse range of the world's greatest DJs in the clubs and festivals, including Tiesto, Carl Cox, Sander Van Doorn and Paul Van Dyk.</span>

<h3>JFK</h3>

<span style="color: #888888">JFK has secured constantly strong positions (no 85, 53 and 35) in DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ and in Mixmag he was voted the country's favourite resident DJ. In the UK his unique talent has caused him to be recognised by all major super clubs and festival organisers wanting him on their nights to inject a little of his special passion atmosphere in a way that only he can.</span>

It could be said that Fedde came out of nowhere, riding off the success of a hit record. Well, let's set that record straight - you couldn't get further away from the truth. The truth is that his parties had been rocking the Netherlands since 2001; his label Flamingo Recordings has been pushing its unique sound since 2004; and then in 2006 <i>Put your hands up for Detroit </i>happened.
</p>
<p style="color: #c0c0c0" align="justify">
In fact ‘happened' doesn't do what occurred justice - quite simply, it exploded. The track hit No 1 in the UK, Spain, Russia, Finland and Bulgaria; won <i>Best Underground House Track </i>and <i>Best</i> <i>Breaks/Electro Track </i>at the IMDA 2007, <i>Club Banger Of The Year </i>at the 6th Annual Club Awards in Miami 2008 and secured Fedde the fiercely fought over <i>Best Breakthrough Solo Artist </i>gong at the IMDA 2007.
</p>
<p style="color: #c0c0c0" align="justify">
But though this may have been an impressive ‘beginning', it was just that - a beginning. There was more to come from le Grand and the world was about to sit up and take notice of the Dutchman. <i>Let Me Think About It, The Creeps </i>and <i>3 Minutes to Explain </i>all followed, setting clubland on fire and stamping Fedde's name all over the global music charts. There was nobody anywhere that fell short of Fedde's magic - including Grammy Award‐winning Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am and Madonna - need we go on? That the Queen of Pop should have picked up on Fedde came as no surprise to anyone with one eye on his meteoric career. After using <i>Put</i> <i>your hands up </i>to promote her Sticky and Sweet tour, she then personally requested Fedde's remix skills for her global smash hit <i>Give It 2 Me.</i>
</p>

There aren't many artists who can top that - of course Fedde being the exception to almost every rule, he rounded his year off with two mammoth tours of the North American and Australian continents, taking in a grand total of 24 cities, all falling under the Dutchman's spell.

<span style="color: #888888">Favoring a naughty schoolboy look that makes him seem even younger than he is Scottish artist, producer, and remixer Calvin Harris has a similarly youthful and forward-looking approach to his music. Skipping the usual apprenticeship in the clubs or on indie labels, Harris went from posting his own D.I.Y. electroclash music online through /MySpace and similar sites to signing with the multinational giant EMI almost in a single step.</span>
</p>

<span style="color: #888888">Following a pair of successful singles, Harris released his debut album, I Created Disco, in the summer of 2007. It featured two Top Ten hits ("Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls"), and climbed high in the album charts. Along with his work as a solo artist, which includes touring in front of a full live band, Harris quickly became an in-demand remixer - working on singles by Jamiroquai, Groove Armada, All Saints, and CSS. He also wrote and produced songs for Kylie Minogue's 2007 comeback album, and collaborated with Dizzee Rascal on "Dance wiv Me," which reached number one in the U.K. "I'm Not Alone," the first single from his second album, also hit number one upon release in April 2009, as did the album (Ready for the Weekend) when it appeared in August. His latest single that is already set to hit the top of the charts, 'you used to hold me' wil be released on the 18th February.</span>

After leaving college to follow his music-filled heart, Roger's passion for DJing conquered his hometown, and the last days of the 1980s saw Roger spinning beats in the Big Apple's most notorious clubs. 1990 saw the S-Man catapulted into international limelight with his first hit Luv Dancin, released on the eminent Strictly Rhythm label under the first of many monikers Underground Solution<br />
<br />
Roger's creative evolution through the rest of the decade yielded a string of hits, and whilst working under his Transatlantic Soul alias, Roger conceived the enduring legend Release Yourself. Born in 1996 through club smash single Release Yo Self, the brand has grown into a worldwide phenomenon that embodies Roger's deep belief in the liberty music can bring. Now an exclusive clubbing concept, a CD mix series, an IDMA winning podcast radio show that touches millions, and an annual residency that still dominates the scene in its 10th season in Ibiza, Release Yourself continues to gather momentum as one of the most recognised and seminal brands on the global scene today.

Roger has remixed superstars such as Chic, Daft Punk, Diana Ross and The Police, contributed to the soundtrack of Hollywood movie Blade, and founded 3 record labels before his beloved Stealth. Since forming his opus label Stealth Records in 2002, the recognition has continued to roll in. Even through the glare of his massive commercial success, the expanse of Roger's fame has neither diluted his outlook nor marred his creativity, and he remains a true champion of new music with one ear always pressed firmly to the underground. In one week alone Roger scored a trio of tracks in the top 25 Billboard Charts, but even after winning a Grammy in 2004 and establishing a global fan base of millions, the S-man remains grounded, making it clear that "Really, as always, I just do what I do and am grateful to be able to follow my heart."

A more modern design approach contrasts with the stunning backdrop of this listed 1920’s theatre. Most significantly, the main auditorium in the club will get a complete face lift becoming darker and more edgy. The main stage will be rebuilt to accommodate live music and on the technical side, a cutting edge Audio Visual system designed and installed by Gatecrasher’s Gary Howard & Chris Bailey will continue Gatecrasher’s tradition of production excellence.</span></span>
