GATECRASHER, one of the most revered and celebrated clubbing brands in the history of British youth culture today unveiled plans for changes at its Leeds nightclub. The City Centre 1200 capacity venue on New Briggate is being Re-named, Re-branded & Re-furbished with a £0.5m investment Gatecrasher Seven is coming. The new look, design and feel at the club form part of a wider remit at Gatecrasher and are in response to the ever-changing needs and desires of the late night entertainment market. The club will now be licensed till 10am and has now two distinct clubrooms to suit events of varying capacity.
From SATURDAY 19TH APRIL 2008, the venue will be re-named ‘Gatecrasher Seven’, revealing a £0.5m refurbishment. The re-model of the club will see both floors of the venue Re-made, Re-modelled & Recharged! The downstairs room will be fully overhauled and branded as BED. As well as forming part of the venue, BED will be utilised as a self-contained 400 capacity venue with a separate entrance, toilets, DJ booths, Bars, with stylish sunken booths and designer Italian furniture. The 400 capacity super cool space will be available for corporate hire, private parties & functions and house separate niche market nights on Sundays, Tuesday and Thursdays nights.
2nd Saturday of the month – Retro Heaven This night is dedicated to bringing the best in classic house with regular guests including Danny Rampling, Daniele Davoli, K-Klass, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead & Ian Ossia to name just a few. 3rd Saturday of the month – The majestic Speedqueen starts on 18th, Leeds born mixed gay friendly night Speedqueen has added atmosphere, art, sexual expression, diversity, and politics to the Leeds clubbing scene. Speedqueen are entering a new phase offering a monthly event full of their best home grown DJ's, glamorous drag queens, live percussion performance art and more. Playing an eclectic mix of Funky, Sexy, Dirty house in the main room and downstairs a diverse range of classics from the 60's spanning over 4 decades. All girl Resident DJ's include Miss Melodie, Alice Bailey and Adele from Galaxy FM, all playing their best in sexy dirty house. 4th Saturday of the month – Leeds Loves Electro - Leeds Loves Electro looks to provide what’s been missing on some of our dancefloors…a line up of Dj’s dedicated to some of the best loved club nights around playing the sexiest dirty electro house that will grace any dancefloor! A night of sublime sexy and dirty house music, LEEDS LOVES ELECTRO & WE LOVE LEEDS! Pashion Every Friday - Gatecrasher Seven and Bed invites Leeds’ funkiest party crowd for a mammoth assault on all things RnB & Rap over both rooms. Pashion plays host to some of the biggest names in RnB and Hip Hop domestically and globally such as Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood, Mista Jam, Steve Sutherland and Shortee Blitz. Upcoming nights include 25th April with Fat Man Scoop, 2nd May Simon Webbe (Blue) and 23rd May Harvey (So Solid Crew) But Gatecrasher Seven won’t just cater for the weekend crowd. Monday is Chic Beat with some of the biggest names in Funky House and Electro and Wednesdays Disuko, the new Japanese themed party night shaking up the Leeds scene, will keep you going through the week.
