Are there any Gatecrasher events in Australia in the next while?? It's been so long since I've been to a Gatecrasher event!!!

I have to agree with all the people posting below regarding Carling Academy. It is a TERRIBLE venue, it is not cut out for big dance events. The queuing system is an absolutely joke, although it was vastly improved for Red & Black I will not be forgetting the hour I spent trying to get in on the 15th birthday only to be disappointed with the decor, layout and visuals.
Crasher can surely not continue here, it's terrible. Whatever happened to Magna?!!
Negativity aside, I have had a fantastic time at both these events but NOTHING compared to previous experiences. The atmosphere was good etc but only good not the AMAZING that I've come to expect from Crasher.
I know GC one burnt down (amen) but we don't have to settle for shitty indie venues.

Gatecrasher would like to say a big thank you to all of you, who came down to Gatecrasher’s 15th Birthday at the Sheffield Carling Academy and made it a spectacular night. The atmosphere in there was unbelievable and one which will stay with us for a long time and although it was not in our beloved Gatecrasher One, there was something about being back in Sheffield city centre which made this event extra special for us.

However with this being the first Gatecrasher event which we have hosted at the Carling Academy there are a couple of issues which we would like to address;

First up ticket collections, although for the majority of persons collecting tickets at this event this wasn’t an issue, we do understand that there were still some people who had a long queuing time to get into the venue. We will be relooking the logistical side of getting 2500 people in as quickly as possible for the next event and hopefully make entering the venue as quick and painless as possible for everyone.

We also understand that Gatecrasher is as famous for its lasers as well as the music but unfortunately due to height restrictions when operating lasers it does take a special licence to be granted before lasers can be used in this venue. We will be looking into getting this licence granted for the next event however and are currently working on it as we speak.

Readin these reviews am so glad i decided t go to tall trees instead of sheffield!!! not only did they have a lazer they had 4 of em and some great pyros 2 armin was awesome and matt hardwick!!! No ques no nonsence from over powerin door staff it was a wicked night!!

your right got they at 9 then had to go back home for my cash card then had to queue for about 1 hour. and to top it all off no FUCKING LAZER whot the fuck how can go you to crasher and have no lazers man. thats why you got to crasher. HURRY UP AND BRING BACK GATECRASHER ONE BACK !!!!!!!!!

Sorry you guys had a shit time, I feel like I was at a different club! I thought it was wicked at the Academy, didn't queue for very long, friendly staff, wicked sound system, and a great atmosphere...thought DJ Remy warmed it all up nicely, and lots of smiley faces to chat to.

Would defo go again.
